Electricity shoots through from my back to my toes. It's on again. The CT scan reveals an imminent fourth operation and I start popping pain killers. The neurosurgeon will see me on Monday and decide my fate for the next few months.
I was born a baby-boomer way before the name was invented. I lived through the sixties as a teenager and surpassed my educational expectations when I graduated as a teacher. I have loved being a mum for thirty-four years and somehow manage to balance my life sanely most of the time. In quieter and rarer moments, I enjoy slipping into the world of fiction writing. Mostly romance. I'm still experimenting with different genres really. I was a winner in a local literary competition in 2007-2008 and loved chatting to other writers. I am a member of Writing Qld and have lots to learn.
